WILL TOM JONES AND ENGELBERT HUMPERDINCK GET BACK TOGETHER?
May 9th, 2012 § Leave a Comment
They are both music legends with roots that go back to the 60′s. Between 1969 and 1971 they both had their own TV series.
In these rare pictures we see music’s elder statesmen performing together in 1969 on the Engelbert Humperdinck show.
The two men went on their separate paths and have never performed on television together since.
Now with both men back in the limelight – Tom on The Voice and Engelbert representing Britain in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest -isn’t it time for the “former friends” to sing together in harmony?
Tom Jones has pretty much done it all — he’s sold more than a 100 million records, has had his own TV series, toured around the world many times over and been made a knight of the realm. Is there anything else he left to achieve?
Engelbert has sold 50 million records worldwide and earn him 63 gold and platinum discs, four Grammy nominations, a Golden Globe and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Rovers Landlady Michelle Collins quitting Corrie
May 9th, 2012 § Leave a Comment
CORRIE star Michelle Collins is quitting as Rovers landlady Stella Price — to spend more time with her teenage daughter.
Ex-EastEnder Michelle, 51, is fed up with having to commute from London to Manchester for filming.
The Cockney actress, who joined in April last year, has just been given a new 12-month contract — even though fans criticised her dodgy northern accent.
But Michelle — who played Albert Square superbitch Cindy Beale — says daughter Maia Rose, 15, comes first.
She said: “I will be in the show until this time next year but I think she would sue me after that.
“My daughter has her GCSEs next year. I want to be around to support her so I’ll have to take time out.
“I find it really difficult working in Manchester and then coming back to London to be a mum. I don’t want to unsettle Maia.”
Michelle had looked set for a long run in the ITV soap, and her departure will be a big blow.
Sue Johnston — from comedy The Royle Family — has even been signed to play Stella’s mum Gloria.
A source said: “We hoped she would be talked about in the same breath as Annie Walker, Bet Lynch and Liz McDonald. It doesn’t look like that will happen now.”
Stella’s storylines have included her being revealed as Leanne Barlow’s mum.

DO THESE GIRLS LOOK FAMILIAR?
When these pictures ( as yet unpublished )were taken by Alan Olley they were an unknown group formed of five young, fresh, female faces. In a few years they would become a national and international hit and one of their members would go on to marry a famous footballer, appear on a reality Tv series, and be dubbed ” the most beautiful girl in the world”
Yes, Girls Aloud – Cheryl Cole ( nee Tweedy ) Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts, and Kimberley Walsh – were about to become a big noise in the music industry. That was ten years ago. Cheryl Cole has confirmed that Girls Aloud will reform later this year for some sort of activity around their tenth anniversary.
Compare the girls as they were a decade ago with as they are now.

Intrepid TV journalist Donal McIintyre and his wife Ameera have hailed their new baby son as a miracle.
Their cherished tot was born five months ago- against all odds of gorgeous Ameera being able to have more kids.
She had been told she’d never have another baby as a result of hormonal changes linked to her non-malignant brain tumor. But she and Dubliner Donal (45) were stunned when a scan then showed that she was expecting.
The devoted couple, who have two daughters, were overjoyed when baby Hunter was born on November 17.
‘i wasn’t sure before whether miracles happen. Thanks to him, I know that they really do,” said a thrilled Ameera (35) i was so happy when i held him for the first time I cried. Having him was a real blessing and i was crying for joy.
Under cover reporter Donal told Hello! magazine of his delight at the latest addition to his family.
HELLO 2012
