The Brit actor is reprising his role of Peter Parker in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 after the first film in the comic book series re-launch took more than £460million at the box office.

His co-star and real-life girlfriend EMMA STONE, who played Gwen Stacy in the original, has yet to be confirmed for the sequel.

From EastEnders to Hollywood Twilight actress Judi Shekoni prepares for stardom

The former model Judi Shekoni has landed a starring role opposite Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart playing the Amazonian beauty Zafrina in Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2 .

Best known for playing Precious in Britain’s top soap opera EastEnders, the 6ft 1 Manchester born Judi rose to fame as the girlfriend of gangster Angel, played by Goldie.

But her role in Twilight could not be more more different: Zafrina is described as a character that has lived outside of civilization for centuries, not attempting to keep up a human façade.

She is among the oldest vampires in the world and a descendant of an ancient tribe.

In a recent interview the 30-year-old admitted that her costume for Twilight, a leather bra-top and loincloth, had sent her running to the gym.

She also said of her time on set: ‘ Kristen and Rob are adorable, they have a great sense of humour and treated me like family… .they really set a precedent of how everyone should behave on set.’

The star of the 1970s soft porn Emmanuelle movies is fighting for her life in hospital after a massive heart failure.

Dutch-born actress Sylvia Kristel, 59, was found unconscious at her home in Amsterdam on Saturday.

Kristel starred in five Emmanuelle films between 1974 and 1993 and another six TV spin-offs.

The series of French-made erotic movies are famed for bringing soft-core pornography to mainstream cinema.

Kristel also became famous for her steamy nude scenes in another 40 films, starring in the lead roles in X-rated versions of Lady Chatterly’s Lover and World War One spy drama Mata Hari.

Kristel – a heavy smoker since the age of 11 – was also treated for lung cancer ten years ago but managed to make a partial recovery.

In her 2006 autobiography Undressing Emmanuelle, she told of a personal life blighted by her battle with drugs and alcohol, and a series of destructive relationships with older men.

She lived with Lovejoy star Ian McShane in the 1980s in Los Angeles, but the couple split up after four years and she moved to St Tropez on the French Riviera.

She described the relationship with McShane in her autobiography as ‘awful’, adding: ‘He was witty and charming but we were too much alike.’

Vashti Whitfield is sitting in the garden, explaining why her two young children get excited when a butterfly flutters past. ‘They call out ‘‘Hi Dad!’’ every time they see one,’ she says.

It is the legacy of their father Andy, who died aged 39 last September after an 18-month battle with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a cancer of the lymphatic system. He left seven-year-old Jesse and four-year-old Indigo with a beautiful image to remember him by.

‘In his final words to them, Andy said he had to go to sleep as his body didn’t work, that he was like a butterfly with broken wings, but he would always be with them, watching over them,’ says Vashti.

Not only did the timing of Andy’s illness seem so at odds with his happy home life as a loving husband and father but he had just found international fame. He was cast in the title role of the big-budget television remake of Spartacus, and the Welsh-born actor’s performance had captured the imagination of Hollywood.

Andy was preparing to shoot the second series when he was diagnosed and filming was put on hold while he fought the disease. It was a battle he chose to document with the help of award-winning documentary maker Lilibet Foster, who captured hours of intimate footage as Andy fought to get well; in turn, defiant, angry, scared and tearful as he confronted his mortality. ‘Andy believed that documenting his fight might help others,’ says Vashti.

The documentary is also a love story. Andy and Vashti, now 39, were in their early 20s when they were introduced by a mutual friend in London. Romance blossomed quickly: within three months they moved to Sydney after Vashti was offered work in a design agency.

They settled there, marrying in 2001. Jesse came along in May 2005 and Indigo two years later. Andy worked as an external engineer – ‘like a really hot Spider-Man, scaling buildings’ smiles Vashti – until, aged 30, he was scouted on the beach by a modelling agency. Work flooded in, followed by TV commercials, inspiring Andy to retrain as an actor.

In 2009, Andy was offered the title role in Spartacus. While it was to prove his breakthrough, the part was gruelling, requiring hours of training to hone his body into that of a warrior.

When, towards the end of filming, he began to suffer backache, Andy put it down to his training schedule. He consulted sports physicians but none could diagnose the problem. By early 2010 the pain was unbearable. ‘Sometimes he would lie on the floor howling like a woman giving birth,’ says Vashti.

Bee Gees singer Robin Gibb dies aged 62 after long battle with cancer

Bee Gees singer Robin Gibb has died aged 62 after a lengthy battle with cancer, his family said.

The announcement was made, it said, with “great sadness”.

British-born Gibb’s musical career began when he formed the Bee Gees with his brothers Barry and Maurice in 1958.

The group are among the biggest-selling of all time with hits spanning five decades, including Stayin’ Alive, How Deep Is Your Love, Massachusetts and Night Fever.

Gibb’s family said in a statement: “The family of Robin Gibb, of the Bee Gees, announce with great sadness that Robin passed away today following his long battle with cancer and intestinal surgery.

“The family have asked that their privacy is respected at this very difficult time.”

The Queen of disco is dead: Donna Summer ‘dies aged 63 after cancer battle’

The multi-Grammy award-winning singer died in Florida after a battle with cancer.

A statement issued on behalf of her family paid tribute to the singer as “a woman of many gifts”.

It read: “Early this morning, we lost Donna Summer Sudano, a woman of many gifts, the greatest being her faith.

“While we grieve her passing, we are at peace celebrating her extraordinary life and her continued legacy.

“Words truly can’t express how much we appreciate your prayers and love for our family at this sensitive time.”

The five-time Grammy winner defined the disco era with hits such as the UK number one single ‘I Feel Love’ and ‘Love To Love You Baby’.
